Stafford Aug 2008

As we had been invited to Julie's 40th Brithday party and there would be no room for us to stay at Margaret's we took the van to Dunston for a couple of nights.

Fri 1st Aug

Set off about 10Am and after stopping for fuel at Asda arrived about 11.30. We set up and it was lovely and sunny so after a bit of lunch we sat out for the afternoon.

We got a bit of tea then went to Stafford had an hour or so with M & B, Claire, Mick, Ben & Abbi before the party. Got back about 11.30.

Sat 2nd

In the morning we went to Penkridge market, as usual spent more than we intended!! We then went to Stoke to see Mike in hospital and back to Stafford. R & B watched Grand Prix practice while M & I sat and nattered then Julie came round and we went to the Luckpenny for a meal, long wait but steak was wonderful. Back at van for 10.30.

Sun 3rd

After breakfast packed up and home by 10.30
It had been a nice weekend with lots of hot sun but occasional showers.
Site fees £9 X 2 = £18 Mileage 40 miles each way.
