Wed 11th June 2008

Set off at 10.36 and after getting fuel and food at Asda set of for Aberaeron, we arrived just before 2pm at Aeron Coast Caravan Park. It is quite a big site with lots of static vans, good roads and shower/toilets. There are pools and a club house on site. We were pitched right on the edge by the sea but behind a sheltering bank, we think it was an old railway line. We took a walk into the town which was only 5 minutes away, looked round the harbour and back to van just as it started to rain. We BBQ'd some steak which was delicious, game of cards then bed.

Thurs 12th

Woke to cloudy skies and a cool breeze. We went into Aberaeron again and had a good look round, a pretty little town with lovely pastel coloured houses. I called at a chemist as I was suffering with bronchitis and we saw a small steamer which we bought for the van. After we got back to the van we took a walk along the coast, the breeze was cool but the sun was nice when it came out. We saw gulls, plover, cormorant and not much else, Rich picked some winkles which he had for lunch. A quiet afternoon reading then we sat outside for a while as the sun was quite warm out of the wind then had a short stroll round site before tea, more steak and steamed veg!

Fri 13

Weather not too good, cold and still breezy even though the sun was out some of the time. We packed up and went home.
